Consumers embrace connected TV

Although the jury is still out on which will be the standard for connected TVs, consumers are embracing connected TV sets and buying them in large numbers. Each of the major consumer electronics firms, Sony, Samsung, LG, Philips and Panasonic, are selling their proprietary version of connected TVs, while at the same time teaming up with broadcasters and other interested parties to push the HbbTV standard – at least in Continental Europe.
