Canvas risks creating ‘Technological Island’

Sony has warned the BBC risks creating a ‘technological island’ by ignoring existing standards in the development of Project Canvas. The consumer electronics manufacturer is one of a number of critical voices aired in submissions published by the BBC Trust.
The Trust received over 800 submissions on the BBC-ITV-BT venture from individuals and stakeholders, as well as meeting with over 60 stakeholders.
